Antique Tips
Jewelry - Storage
Keep your vintage jewelry in separate cases or boxes lined in a soft material to prevent rubbing and possibly abrasing delicate gemstones. Material made from cotton, velvet, silk or satin are ideal. Jewelry rolls are finely suited for those pieces that don´t require rigid cases.
Wicker - Cleaning
Whether you have rattan, reed, willow or bamboo, you should clean your wicker furniture on a regular basis.
First, you should vacuum or dust first.
Wash down with a soft brush or sponge, using a mild detergent.
Rinse outside with a hose.
Dry in the sun, or if you´re inside cleaning, use a hair dryer or fan.
Dry completely before using.
For wicker that is painted-do not wet completely. Rather, vacuum or dust and use a damp sponge. This will prevent paint from peeling.
