CADILLAC V SIXTEEN: As the name indicates, this rear-wheel-drive luxury Cadillac sedan has a 16-cylinder engine, rated at 1,000 hp. The styling in this beautiful Cadillac is meant to evoke custom-built cars of the 1930s. Cadillac developed the automotive industry's first V-16 during that decade.
Distinctive by its long aluminum hood, the Cadillac Sixteen has 24-inch wheels and an all-glass roof, with no pillars between the front and rear doors. The monster engine includes GM's Displacement on Demand technology, which will be in some 2005 GM model cars; to save fuel, it shuts down half of the cylinders during most driving conditions and automatically reactivates them for more demanding conditions, such as brisk acceleration or load hauling. The Sixteen has four-wheel steering.
