Access Millions of Jobs

Job Seekers - Where you should Surf !

  1. Company Websites
The key to any company's recruitment effort should be their own web page. Select a list of companies you want to target and visit their career section weekly or set up agents on their site to drive the jobs back to you.

2. Job Boards - Mega
While many companies would like to avoid the expense of using a mega job board the reality is that many companies must have a presence on the boards in order to fill all of their openings.

If a company can afford to post their positions on one of the major boards, they will. Otherwise, they may only be able to afford to purchase resume access. This will still allow them to search for resumes as they have openings. Just because you do not see a company that does not mean that they are not using the job board to search for applicants. Placing your resume on the major boards is one component of your Internet Job Search Strategy.

monster.com, careerbuilder.com, and computerjobs.com are some of mega boards. Also, don't assume because you are an Executive that you cannot find a job on-line. One of the fastest growing areas for Internet Job Boards is the Executive level. Some great sites to review include: 6figurejobs.com, netshare.com, and chiefmonster.com

3. Job Boards - Niche
Many recruiters have very specific needs and will choose to post to a very specific niche site in hopes of reducing the unqualified response from the mega boards. Many of these niche sites will contain more than just job postings. Applicants can also find Current News in a particular niche, Industry Resources, Vendor Lists, and Community Resources. This is potentially a wealth of information for the applicants to use in their job search.
Recruiters primarily use two guides to find these sites: CareerXroads, by Gerry Crispin and Mark Mehler is one recommendation and the other is Weddle's - Recruiters Guide to Employment Web Sites. Applicants can find these books at their local bookstores and find out which sites might be good for them to use.

4. University Alumni Sites
You should have your resume posted to your college or university alumni website. Most of these sites are free for recruiters to use.
